The Apprentice is back!

The Apprentice will be returning to our screens again next week with series 11 kicking off on Wednesday 14th October at 9pm on BBC1. The Beeb has uploaded a few sneak peeks, candidate profiles and auditions so you can judge them for yourself here.

What’s new?

This series we see Claude Littner join Baroness Karren Brady as Lord Sugar’s aide. Claude has featured on The Apprentice since season one, interviewing candidates in the semi-final of each series but this is the first time we will see him keeping a watchful eye over one of the teams as they undertake each task.

As always, the winner will be given the opportunity to become one of Lord Sugar’s business partners and receive an investment to the value of £250,000 founded on the basis of their idea.

A mixed bunch as usual, the candidates’ ages range from 21 to 47 and they come armed with varying levels of experience in a range of different business fields. There are some strong characters as you’ll see from their quotes below so this series is not one to miss.

“I pride myself on not having any negative or bad traits… they’re all good, they’re all positive.” Brett Butler-Smythe, 28, Builder and ex-Marine Engineer.

“I hate anything mediocre. I can’t be middle… I’ve never been the person that comes second.” Elle Stevenson, 21, Construction Operations Executive.

Mergim Butaja, 23, Sales Account Manager has supported his family from the age of 18 by working a range of different jobs – from sales to waiting tables.

Sam Curry, 23, private tutor, cites Richard Branson as his main business inspiration as he also believes you don’t need to be ruthless or cruel in business to succeed.

“I believe this is a marathon and if you have stamina, and if you do things with integrity, morals and direction, you can get where you want to go.” Vana Koutsomitis, 27, Social Media Entrepreneur.

Come back again next week when we discuss the first episode!
