Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are becoming increasingly reliant on smartphones.
With the launch of the iPhone 5s and 5c yesterday (September 10th), business networking website realbusiness.co.uk reports on the findings of a new study by freelancing agency PeoplePerHour.
It says two-thirds of SME owners are now reliant on mobile apps to help run their business while on the move – with some of the most popular of those being Google Drive, LinkedIn and Skype.
PeoplePerHour’s chief executive Xenios Thrasyvoulou said: “The fact that entrepreneurs can effectively run their businesses from their smartphones can only benefit the SME sector in the long run.”
It appears as though the trend is unlikely to change any time soon too – with 4G mobile broadband now set to really take off following the launch of 02 and Vodafone’s services recently.
How much do you rely on your smartphone to do business? Does it really make that much of a difference?
