Entrepreneurs are being offered a helping hand in ensuring their business becomes more eco-friendly.
Small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) owners who are interested in doing more to protect the environment can sign up to a free course at the University of Bath, called ‘Make an impact: sustainability for professionals’.
Dr Emma Patterson, who will teach the module, said: “We’ll explore the key drivers to sustainability, the use of standards, the importance of stakeholder engagement, governance, innovation for sustainability, the use of metrics and indicators and the application of management tools.”
The six-week programme will see SME leaders spend three hours of their time in weekly online sessions that will teach them how to reap the benefits of going green. Spaces on the course are still available, with the first seminar set to take place on March 17th.
What challenges have you faced in encouraging your company to become more environmentally-friendly? Do you think more initiatives like this can make a difference?
