1 in 3 SME owners concerned over IT capabilities

Many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are worried that their IT infrastructure will not be good enough to support their plans for growth over the next 12 months.

According to research from Node4, over a third of business leaders are worried about the weakness in their current facilities.

Tech Target reports that another concern the study revealed surrounded an apparent lack of innovation in the IT sector.

Node4’s business development director Paul Bryce said that the results of the research indicated the “important role” that IT has to play in reviving the economy, although he did admit that it came as a “surprise” that this issue was seen as a major challenge by SME owners.

“IT has gone from being a static cost-centre to a dynamic business enabler that must support the organisation at every stage of the sales cycle, overall empowering the business to grow and succeed,” he added.

Do you feel like your IT infrastructure is ready for growth?
